The unbeatable combination of seafood and coconut is something only those who have grown up in coastal regions can truly fully appreciate. This beautiful dish consists of perfectly spiced fried fish slices nestled in a rich and velvety-smooth coconut sauce. No matter where I am in the world, this meal inevitably takes me back to the island I love the most.

Use freshly grated coconut for this tasty chutney that goes well with all kinds of snack/finger-foods like pack potatoes, bhajias, samosas, kababs, etc.

These are PERFECT for breakfast with a cup of tea, and go really well as an accompaniment to many meals…especially grilled meats.

These lentil fritters are deliciously crunchy and are a perfect evening snack. I like to serve these with coconut chutney, but they also work as a great accompaniment for my channa bateta recipe.

Fish is probably my favourite protein and this Fish Biryani recipe is one of a kind. It is easy to make, extremely flavourful and even those who do normally enjoy fish will LOVE this meal and request second helpings! My wife Mari loves to make this dish everytime I go fishing and bring home a large catch, as a little celebratory meal! 🙂

Kaimati or also known as luqaimat/lugaimat in Arabic are sweet crispy and fluffy fried dumplings which are coated and drizzled with an aromatic sugar syrup. The Kaimatis by nature are not sweet , its the rich golden color sugar syrup coated on them that makes them irresistible both in appearance as well sweetness and of course the rich flavors and aromas of zaffron and cardamoms are so inviting sure to make you come back for just one more dumpling.

Bajra (also known as Bajar or Bajro) means Millet. These rotis or flatbreads made from millet flour are very healthy and gluten free. The bread is simple and easy to prepare, and is the perfect accompaniment to various meat and veggie curries.

Easily a quick-fix healthy and filling meal that my whole family loves. You can comfortably add to or substitute the veggies in this dish with whichever veggies you prefer.
